Think different: Define the Simple

Being creative is important, as it is the origin of upcoming evolution

One of the keys of philosophy is to be able to define the simple. To say “a table is a table, has 4 legs, you can put things above, write on it, use it for…”. But, have you actually done that? Ever?

One of the things I like to try is to think different (Ironically, but has some reason for it, it is the key phrase of Apple). At least I guess I could say that, because what you should do is to think different, all the time. Who told yourself as a child that the table could be used as the base for an improvised camping tent? Nobody, yet you did it (hope you did, either I would sound like a stupid here). You grew up a little and somebody told you what’s a table is for. Now a table is for that, why do you have to exclude everything else?

To think different is to analyze what things are that because somebody told you. It doesn’t matter who, nor when, but that you now think a table is only for being a table and a chair is just to sit on.

This was a short reflection, as they have been lately… But think about it, could you forget what you have learnt to have again the blank page to fill up? So think, define the simple, define the most simple thing and try to think outside the box and look for alternatives. Do not put limits, there is something called imagination, it may be helpful to use it. After defining something, don’t you think is dumb to just think the original way?
